Violet Intrigue is Lavandula Angustifolia, also known as True Lavender.
 
Violet Intrigue has a deep floral scent with a summer sweetness to it. It’s a New Zealand cultivator, and this variety is patented and prized for its quality. The dark violet flowers yield less oil than some other types but the delightful fragrance is worth the extra work to create it. However, since it is an L. Angustifolia, this oil can be added to food to create beautiful culinary experiences.
